Nose tip rhinoplasty
Nose tip rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves modifying only the tip of the nose . The cosmetic surgeon will only work on the cartilage, fat, and skin at the tip of the nose. Unlike a full-bore rhinoplasty, it does not touch the bone. This rhinoplasty is therefore lighter than a classic rhinoplasty .

How does the surgeon modify the tip of the nose?
To modify the tip of the nose , the surgeon will use different strategies depending on the starting nose and the nose he wishes to obtain:
- Cartilage removal
- Cartilage grafting
- Silicone implant
- Cartilage sculpture
- Deep stitches
The rhinoplasty surgeon will make an incision inside the nostrils and sometimes the strip of skin located between the two nostrils (columella). The scars in the nostrils are invisible. A small, very discreet scar may remain on the columella. This will depend on the surgical technique. After reshaping the cartilage at the tip of the nose, the incisions will be closed with stitches.
Nose tip rhinoplasty costs $5000 to $12 000 . The operation is not covered by health insurance. However, there may be exceptions if the operation restores or improves the patient’s respiratory function. This surgery may also be covered if it follows an accident (reconstructive surgery). You must prepare a file and submit a request to social security and your mutual insurance company before the operation.
The operation is performed under local or general anesthesia. It can take place in a hospital or clinic. Typically, the patient arrives in the morning and leaves the same day.
