Bags under the eyes

We simulate under-eye bag cosmetic surgery from a photo using Artificial Intelligence. The simulations are digital only; they in no way predict the possibility that a surgeon could perform this type of transformation.
What causes bags under the eyes?
Under-eye bags have many causes, some controllable, others not. The main cause of bags is natural aging. With age, the skin loses its elasticity and muscles relax, fat under the eyes sinks and accumulates, and collagen production decreases, making the skin thinner and sagging.
Some people have a hereditary predisposition to under-eye bags; they can appear from a young age, without any external cause. The lower eyelids swell due to water retention and poor lymphatic circulation. This natural effect can be amplified by a diet too rich in salt.
Poor sleep leads to temporary puffiness under the eyes, similarly, allergies cause inflammation and fluid buildup under the eyes, rubbing your eyes only worsens the appearance of puffiness.
Alcohol, tobacco, chronic stress, hormonal changes and UV (sun) rays also accentuate bags under the eyes.
How to get rid of bags under the eyes naturally?
Applying cold to the eyelids can help decongest the eyelids (cold spoons, cold masks, bags or ice cubes, etc.). Green tea and chamomile infusions can also help remove puffiness under the eyes.
Massages and lymphatic drainage with the fingers or a jade roller or a gua sha (placed in a cool place) to stimulate lymphatic drainage also help to reduce puffiness.
Foods rich in antioxidants like berries, green vegetables, and turmeric are also known to help fight dark circles.
Most important tip, sleep at least 7 to 8 hours a night with your head slightly elevated to avoid fluid accumulation under the eyes.
How to get rid of bags under the eyes with surgery?
Under-eye bags can be surgically treated with lower blepharoplasty, a cosmetic procedure that removes or repositions excess fat and skin under the eyes. There is transconjunctival blepharoplasty (when there is no excess skin, incisions on the inside of the eyelid only) and blepharoplasty via an external incision (subciliary). The scar is discreet and barely visible after healing. Lipofilling involves changing the distribution of fat in the eyelid to fill in the hollows and give a more natural appearance.
Finally, the CO₂ laser is often offered as a complement; the multiple laser micro-points will tighten and smooth the skin.
The results are visible after a few weeks and definitive after several months.
