RHINOPLASTY - FLAT NOSE
A flat nose is a small nose, wider than it is long, which is distinguished from a square nose by a softer hollow in the nasal ridge. The short length of the nasal ridge pulls the tip of the nose upward and tends to widen the nostrils. This can make one think of a nose that has been hit from above and crushed. Generally, the nose pulls on the upper lip and results in a very plump lip. In extreme cases, the tension can be too strong and cause discomfort. Some people like the cute side of a flat nose, others prefer a larger nose.
Surgery for a flat nose
Rhinoplasty for a flat nose involves lengthening the nose by grafting a prosthesis, bone or cartilage, and sometimes surgery on the nostrils to make them less open. This type of case is a common case in ethnic rhinoplasty .
The cost of rhinoplasty varies greatly depending on the surgical technique and the surgeon. Generally, rhinoplasty is not covered by social security or mutual insurance companies unless there is proven, disabling breathing difficulty.
The flat nose is relatively common.
